5000+ Subscribers and "Wall Street?!" Read On!
"Life all comes down to a few moments. This is one of them."
A classic quote said by Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) from Oliver Stone's "Wall Street" while bracing himself just before entering the office of the infamous Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas). It's strange that this popped into my head as I was nearing the pivotal 5K Subscribers juncture in the life of my YouTube Channel, Peep THIS Out!
In just under 2 1/2 years, my content now services over 5000+ Subscribers directly and things are moving very quickly. I'm so grateful to you all for helping me achieve this latest milestone and I just wanted to take a moment to elaborate a bit on what I spoke about at the end of my most recent review, which you can watch below. I also wanted to give you a little background into the reasons why this milestone is so important to me...and it's NOT because of the physical number itself, though that is really cool too! :-)
Having worked non-stop on my Channel over the last 2+ years experimenting with ideas, changing things here and there and generally evolving the content to keep things interesting/fresh, one thing has always stuck out for me and that's the simple love of the creative process. Content creation from start to finish is a passion for me and if you're passionate about something, the Universe will generally conspire in your favor to push you to new heights in some way, shape or form because of it. I personally think that principle can be applied to just about any aspect of your life. Whatever it is that you're into or whatever it is that you really enjoy doing...You should love what you do. Period.
In my previous professional life, I used to tell my teams that if you're aspiring to be the next level, you have to ACT like the next level. Whatever you do, give it your all. Give that 110% in every thing that you try but above all else, do just THAT... Try. You may stumble, you may fall, but in the end you'll gain the experience necessary to grow and eventually rise. Do good work, be true to your ideals and stay positive. It may take a little time but you'll eventually move past what you initially thought you couldn't and everything up to that point will now be in your rear view. You ever hear the expression, "Life is about the journey and not necessarily the destination?" I think that's very true! Hey, ultimate success at the end of the tunnel is great for sure but little victories like overcoming any obstacles previously encountered can be just as sweet!
So if you're asking yourself what does this have to do with hitting a Subscriber Milestone, here's the reason: Had I not gone through everything that I have up until now, this moment wouldn't be here staring right back at me! None of this would be real because I wouldn't have taken that first step, I wouldn't have given it 110% and I wouldn't have worked to deliver something that was compelling me to from within. When I began this adventure over 2+ years ago, it was actually a pretty scary idea to me at the time but you know what was even more scary? NOT giving it a shot. The thought of not trying something that could ultimately bring me some happiness scared me even more. Fear can be a powerful thing, I get that, but its energy can also fuel you forward if you have a burning desire that's compelling you in a certain direction. If you feel it, don't ignore it! Follow your heart, follow your passion!
The idea of putting yourself out there and getting in front of literally millions of people around the world on a platform like YouTube can be a scary thing but it's also incredibly exciting. You think to yourself, will some people judge me?! Probably. Will some people care about what I have to say?! Hopefully. Will some people make fun of me or think I shouldn't be doing this?! Maybe. The thing about the answers to those questions is you'll never truly know unless you go out there give it a shot. There's no way to answer definitively YES or NO to any of them so how could you NOT try it out?! At the end of the day, who cares?! Just have fun with it! Once you create your first piece of content, you just might find your passion for the craft will far outweigh any fear or possible negativity and at that point, it won't truly matter. In the end, YOUR personal happiness is all that does. Here's a little secret: SOME people WILL like what you do...guaranteed. ;-)
So here we are! Over 5000+ AMAZING Peeps strong and that number is rising every day! I can't thank you all enough for being here on this adventure with me. As I said at the end of the review on top, I take each and every Subscriber very seriously. I truly enjoy giving back. It's the reason I try to answer all the positive comments on each of my reviews, assist other aspiring creators in the community and it's also the reason that I continue producing content to hopefully inform, enlighten and entertain as best I can. You taking a few moments out of your day/night to watch my opinion on something is a pretty big thing. We all have choices when it comes to our available time so thank you for making my Channel one of those choices to spend some of your time with!
Lastly, let me just say that as with anything in life, everything up to right now is prelude to this very moment. From a current creator getting ready to release their first piece of content to the aspiring creator just thinking about taking that first step and making the moves to do it... BOTH of those individuals are in exactly same place. Everything up to that moment as gotten them to this point where they just have to make that leap and dive in. That's when their journey begins/continues just as it did for me in the very beginning.
Life truly does come down to a few moments and when you take that first step towards something that's speaking to you from within, an exciting journey awaits you...but you have to TRY and I'm so glad that I did! Thank you so much to all 5000+ of you from the bottom of my heart for accompanying me on my continued journey these last 2+ years! I'm determined more than ever to keep delivering on my passion and I look forward to all the future adventures to come! Stay Tuned & Stay Frosty!
